TRACKMANIADUDE

ABOUT

Maker of various digital objects. Mostly music and game dev, with some animation thrown in for good measure.

CODING

Most of my coding experience (and the projects listed here) are in the realm of game development. I am primarily experienced with LUA, because of Roblox's usage of the language, but have programmed in a variety of other languages, mostly for learning purposes.

This was for a computer graphics class. Not original in the slightest, but I made it. A currently in progress Sonic fan game, built after making a 3D recreation/extension of the original game's physics. Partially finished Trackmania fan game. One of the main features of the game (both this and the original) is the built in track editor, in which all tracks in the game are made. I had to figure out data serialization to make this work (fairly basic though, tracks are stored as JSON objects). Exactly as titled, my third try at procedurally generated terrain. Exactly as titled, my third try at procedurally generated terrain. Ship racing game that I randomly had the urge to make summer of 2023. Not exactly complete, but works. Roads are generated dynamically, based on splines and some procedural code. More spline based procedural generation (although this is 2017-2020, not 2023), just a bunch of roller coasters. Never figured out how to get multiple cars in a train.

There was a time where I messed around with Scratch a lot, so here's a selection of some notable or interesting projects.

  • MUSIC

This is a non-exhaustive list of music I have created.

Genres usually tend to be somewhere in the EDM range, although there is often rock/metal influence, alongside other genres. I often get weird and experimental.

It's not like I'm any good at figuring out genres anyways.

I also enjoy chiptune, in a variety of ways. You can find both general chiptune (what I consider the style that primarily uses simpler synths and samples to give the energy of an older game console), and more literal chiptune (music that (supposedly) can run on given hardware sound sources, rather than just sounding retro). There's also the fun part where you can still do most genres in such a style.
